COUNTERSINKS

There are a variety of options for countersinking. Single flute countersinks are commonly used when the hole is too small for a multi-flute countersink to enter.Three flute bits, sometimes called center reamers, are designed for countersinking flathead screws and other fasteners in drilling applications. Four flute countersinks are use in screw machines. Six flute (chatterless) are designed for fast shearing cuts and the deburring styles with a single cutting edge, provide fast material removal and can be resharpened with the appropriate tools. Combo countersinks and drills are used to obtain precise centering holes.
