Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)

Not only will we keep the fastener bins stocked at your facility, but safety stock will be held within hours of your location at our warehouses. From the beginning of the supply chain to the end– or somewhere in between, we can help!

Some customers prefer a complete “hands-off” approach. We provide storage bins, bar code the items, maintain inventory levels, order the required fasteners and restock the bins at prescribed intervals. Others prefer to be involved at some point in the supply chain. Either way, we will cater to your specific needs, and engineer a program to best fit your requirements.

Vendor managed inventories have several benefits. One key benefit, especially when related to fasteners, is the low cost of fasteners relative to the high costs of maintaining your own stock levels. Many of these costs are often not visible. Lower stock levels are required, administrative and personnel costs are reduced, storage space is reduced, and most importantly, production does not come to a stand-still due to shortages. Halting production over a part that costs pennies is unacceptable!
